Across five albums of eclectic pop with influences of lounge, electronica, and jazz. , G.T. Thomas reveals her many facets as a producer, songwriter, vocalist, arranger, and multi-instrumentalist, garnering her comparisons to Goldfrapp, Kate Bush, Cibo Matto, and even “the Muppets on acid” (by music blog 3voor12).
She has performed in the US, Europe, and Scandinavia, and collaborated with artists like Fleet Foxes, Benny Sings, The Metropole Orchestra, and members of The B-52s, Steely Dan, and The Free Design.
Additionally, she conducts workshops and guest lectures on electronic music composition, synthesis, and creative songwriting processes, with previous engagements with institutions such as Bakersfield College (Panorama Creative Music Summit, CA), Byrdcliffe Artist Residency (Woodstock, NY), Popsport Nederland (Utrecht, NL), SUNY New Paltz (Advanced Electronic Music program, NY), and Western Washington University (Electroacoustic Music program, WA).
Currently, G.T. Thomas is taking a break from her songmaking work as a solo artist and is funneling these energies into her experimental pop duo, Scrap Fiasco, alongside Bruce Hamilton.
